Automated jigsaw puzzle processing and packing line

Direct answer: A buyer-focused review of artwork, board construction, die cutting, piece handling and packing decisions for custom puzzle projects.

A custom jigsaw puzzle connects image reproduction, board construction, die cutting, piece control and final packing. A change in one area can affect the others, so the project should be reviewed as a complete product.

Approve the image and proofing method

Confirm image resolution, crop, orientation and color reference before tooling and mass production. The approved proof should make clear what is being evaluated: content, layout, color or all three.

Confirm the physical puzzle specification

  • Finished puzzle dimensions and piece count
  • Board thickness and printed construction
  • Cut style, piece size expectations and any special shapes
  • Box, insert, bag and other included components
  • Required packing sequence and final presentation

Review die cutting and piece handling together

Much Printing’s equipment information states that automatic puzzle die cutting supports up to 1,000 pieces and board thickness up to 2 mm, with a reference output of 3,500 sets per hour. A separate automated processing line supports optical scanning, scattering, debris removal and bag sealing for puzzles from 24 to 2,000 pieces, with a reference output of 1,000 sets per hour. Actual output depends on the confirmed specification.

Define inspection expectations

Inspection should cover the printed image, cutting result, component completeness and packing configuration. If the project requires a particular sampling method, acceptance standard or product test, include it in the inquiry rather than assuming it applies automatically.
