Direct answer: Puzzle artwork must remain clear across the final image while also supporting cutting, reference graphics and the surrounding retail package.

Work at final proportions
Confirm the finished puzzle dimensions before cropping the image. Do not stretch artwork to fit a different ratio at the end of production preparation.
Protect important content
- Use sufficient image resolution for the final size.
- Allow bleed beyond the finished edge.
- Keep essential faces, text and logos away from trim.
- Confirm image orientation and any deliberate crop.
Coordinate the puzzle and box
The reference image on the box should match the approved puzzle image and orientation. Identify any crop or graphic treatment that intentionally differs.
Define the approval reference
State whether the proof is for image content, layout, color or all three. Record the approved file version before tooling and production.
Common RFQ mistake
Avoid asking the supplier to assume missing dimensions, materials, quantities or pack definitions. Separate confirmed requirements from questions that need engineering input.
